Fall is almost here and it’s time to resurrect the cool weather wardrobe! This means giving sweaters and boots a more prominent position in my closet. How fortuitous it was that Boot Butler reached out to me to do a Boot Butler product review post in exchange for their innovative boot storage product.boot-butler-edit-2

What is Boot Butler?

I will admit, when I first heard about about the Boot Butler and looked at pictures online, I though it looked funny because it was like nothing I had ever seen before. Also, I wasn’t sure I would want to place my riding boots in my closet with my civilian clothes. You see, I can’t get the dust off my riding boots! It’s just so dry and dusty here in Southern California that even my newly-cleaned boots soon have a layer of grit. (And I’m sure there are trace levels of manure all over the bottoms of my boots.)

Boot Butler Product Review

An authentic view of a Boot Butler in action.

I own a few pairs of “fashion boots” and these would be my Boot Butler test subjects. So I opened the box and came face to face with myriad pieces of plastic and metal. I had a flashback to putting together Ikea furniture in my 20s and thought, “Oh no.”

Assembly in a Snap

Honestly, I should have timed myself because the written directions were simple to follow and I assembled the Boot Butler quite quickly. (I’m not mechanical at all and constructing things normally poses challenges for me–not in this case).

The directions actually made sense and I loved the “SNAP!” speech bubble.

Once I had the Boot Butler put together, I put it in our spare bedroom closet (has the most light for photography purposes). Next I hung up my individual boots and attached to the Boot Butler and voila! My fall boots are nicely suspended and the precious floor space beneath the Boot Butler can be used for other things or at least vacuumed easily. I’m able to store my boots in half the space.

It’s not surprising that on Amazon, the average rating based on 418 reviews is five stars. It comes in a three pair ($49.99) or five-pair organizer ($69.99). I would l suggest the five-pair organizer because. . . more boots!

Boot Butler for Those Authentic Riding Boots

I think the Boot Butler would be pretty cool to hang in a tack room if you had your own barn, or were boarding where you trusted the other people who also use the tack room. It’s greatest advantages are allowing for condensed, simultaneous multiple boot storage and freed up floor space. I can also picture the Boot Butler as a handy object for a horse trailer tack room.

I showed my latest home organization treasure, the Boot Butler, to my horse husband Mark and he said, “Nice!” in that two-syllable way to show he thought it was pretty cool.

Until I can live at Downton Abbey and get a real butler like Mr. Carson, I will rely on my Boot Butler to take care of and properly store my boots!
